I not ‘dorable, I monstor.
So it’s about time I revived this site with some content. I don’t know yet if I’m going to be doing journal comics again any time soon. I certainly won’t be doing them regularly, but I’m going to try and at least post artwork (sketches primarily) or pictures of neat stuff. Basically anything that doesn’t really fit with my “real” comics will go here.
Anyway these are some test sketches for a game my brother wants to try and make. I have a little experience with animation so I’m probably going to be doing some art for it.
On that note can anyone recommend a free program for 2D animation? I don’t need anything fancy, but something that’s actually made to do animations would be very useful to me.

Well, there’s GIMP. I’m not sure if you have it already, but I’ve used the animation feature on it and it’s pretty basic. Although looking up some tutorials on it before trying it out without prior knowledge of it can get pretty hectic and painful. :V

Oh gosh sorry for commenting again but I just realized my comment makes no sense whatsoever.
I meant to say you should look at tutorials if you have no idea how to work the animation feature in GIMP. It helps a lot I guess, and it’s kind of the most obvious thing to do.

I didn’t know GIMP even had an animation feature.

Oh lol. Well it involves layers and a lot of patience. GIMP’s animation feature is to Flash like MS Paint compared to Photoshop.

See, I don’t think flash is a very good program either. I’ve used it, it’s painful.

I’d like to know one too.
And these are very cute. :3

Cuuuuuuuuuute~
I can’t think of any good free 2D animation programs, but if you ever have the money, you should consider digicel flipbook. I recently bought it, and it’s kind of the best thing ever. It’s basically exactly like traditional animation. Though the website is awful. Comic sans
Also I don’t know if you have photoshop but they have an animation feature, too. (though I’ve never used it for anything beyond simple gifs)
